Page Layout

All the available functions are shown on the left menu after you login. The menu will expend if there are more functions under the main functions. You can click the menu, links and buttons inside a page to perform a certain function. You can always use the "Back" and "Forword" button of the browser to navigate pages in Tradows platform.

Popup Windows: the navigation buttons are located on the top right corner of the popup window.  Refresh current page;  Back to previous page;  Next page;  Close the popup window and return to the main page.

The Initial Process of Using Tradows Platform

  1. Change your admin password (immediate after login or through Company Information/My User Profile).
  2. Input your company information (Company Information)
  3. Create user(s) of your company (Company Information -> User Management)
  4. Uploading your product information (Product Management -> Input Offered Product)
  5. Input your searching products (Product Management -> Input Required Products)
  6. Generate your inquiry or quotation (Purchase and Inquiry -> Current Inquiry and Sales and Promotion -> Current Quote)
  7. The suppliers will response your inquiry automatically to your database.
  8. Respond the purchase inquiries to you (Sales and Promotion -> Received Inquiries)
  9. View the receive quotations from your suppliers (Purchase and Inquiry -> Received Quotes)

Tradows Functions

Search Tradows Companies

  • Company Search is a tool for you to search your customers and suppliers locally or worldwide. Tradows only display 20 companies if the search result returns more than 20 companies, click "Next" button to review more results.
    Click the name of the company will view the detail information of the company. You can add a company to your customer list by click "Add Customer" button, or to your supplier list by click "Add Supplier" button.

    Keywords: you can input multiple words to narrow the search result if the results are too many.
    Company Name: you can input a word or multiple words in a company name to find companies.
    Tradows Company ID: each company in Tradows has a unique ID. You can input the ID to find the specific company.
    City, State/Province, Country/Region: You can restrict the location of the companies during the search.

Company Information

  • Company website: you can input your existing domain, such as http://www.yourcompany.com or leave it empty. When you input your domain and change the DNS to forward it to the same IP of http://yourcompany.tradows.com, your customer can use http://www.yourcompany.com to access your Tradows public website.
  • Company Keywords: please input the keywords that related to your company (such as, toy, R/C cars, clocks, electronics, etc.). Your potential customer and supplier will find you based on those keywords. It"s the very important field.
  • Geography Market: input where you sell your products to. (e.g. "US & Canada", or "Toronto, Canada")
  • Addresses: Input your company address, you can create multiple addresses of your company and mark one of your address as the "Main Address".

Addresses

  • Create and manage the address(es) of your company.
    New Address: Create a new address.
    Set as Main Address: Set the address as the main address of your company.
    Edit: Edit the detail information of the address.
    Delete: Delete the address in the same line.

User Management

  • Create the users of your company. The created user can use the same "Company Code", the "Login ID" and "Password" you just created to login the system.
  • Public user: check the box if you like the user to be seen by all the other Tradows members.

My User Profile

  • Change your Tradows login password and Edit your user profile.
    Change My Password: Change your Tradows login password.
    Edit My Information: Edit your user profile. The information will be automatically sent to your customers/suppliers along your quote/inquiries.

Bank Accounts

  • Store you bank accounts in tradow, so that you need not input the bank information again when you accept a purchase order and ask the buyer to wire the money to your account. Click "Create Account" to create your account information.

Billing Information

  • List the fees charged by Tradows.

Manage Public Website

  • You can create the pages for your public website which can be access through http://yourcompanyID.tradows.com all around the world.

    Tradows creates several model pages for easy setup of your website. You can click each Page Title to edit the pages and replace the text and pictures according to your company. You can also choose a different template for your website from Choose Website Template function.

    There are 3 types of pages that you can create.
    Normal Page through "Create Page" button
    You can input the Page Title which will be display on the left sidebar if you check "Show Page in Sidebar" box.
    You can input page content same as MS Word or copy page information from other website directly to.
    Offered Products Page through "Create Offered Products Page" button.
    The public products under Product Offering will be shown in the page(s) automatically. The system will create categories automatically based on your product categories created in Category Management function.
    Required Products Page through "Create Required Products Page" button
    The public products under Required Products will be shown in the page(s) automatically. The system will create a category page automatically based on your product categories created in Category Management function.

    Edit Web Page

    Page Title: Type the name of the page.
    Show Page in Sidebar: Check the box if you like the Page Title to be shown on the left sidebar of your public website.

    Here is the layout of the toolbar layout of the Tradows web editor.

    The first thing to do is to click the editing area and click in the toolbar and select Titel & Content to setup the title and background that fit the template. You can change the title and content according to your requirement. Be aware that the width of the editing area is the real width that fit your web site. Please input text and pictures within the area. Please shink the picture(s) if it is wider than the layout.

  • How to use Tradows Web Editor
    Use Tradows web editor is similar to use MS Word. It is an HTML editor, all the inputed information will be lost if you close the browser or go to another page without click the Save button. don't be frastrated if it behaves different from MS Word. You can input formated content through the editor. What see here is what you get in the public page of your website.
    : Insert a templete, Tradows has several predefined templete for you to select;
    : Save the page;
    : Undo the previous operation;

    : Paste the copied content;
    : View the HTML source of the page, it is for HTML expert to edit the HTML of the page directly;
    : Change the text to Bold;

    : Insert/remove numbered list;
    : Insert/remove bulleted list;

    : Input/modify the associated link of the selected text; Link window will pop up, you can input the URL or click "Browse Server" button to link an exit page or a file that you uploaded through Files On Server function.

    : Put an anchor in the current location;
      
    : Insert a picture into the current location; Image Property window will pop up, you can input the picture URL or click "Browse Server" button and click the picture to link the picture file that you uploaded through Files On Server function.
    : Insert a flash into the current location; Flash Property window will pop up, you can input the flash URL or click "Browse Server" button to link a flash file that you uploaded through Files On Server function.
    : Insert a table into the current location;
    : Change the text color;
    : Change the backgound color;
    : Input special characters;
    : Input a horizontal line;
    : Switch to the full screen mode;

    Tradows Web Editor allows you to copy part content or a whole page from other site to generate your own page. The layout, format even pictures will be automatically kept in your Tradows window. It is very convenient for you to generate your pages from existing sources. Be aware that Tradows web editor only copy the html elements of a page, the picture(s) shown on Tradows page is served from the original server. Any change on the original server will affect your Tradows page. To let the picture served from Tradows server, you can download the source picture(s) and upload to your Tradows server through Files On Server function, select the picture and click button to link to the uploaded picture file.

Files on the Server

  • You can upload files to be share within you company and files that you like to link with in your public website.`You can create different folders and sub-folders to classify the files on Tradows server.

Choose Website Template

  • You can choose variety of website templates according to your business. Click the template picture to view the detail layout of the template. Click "Select" button to select the template.

Change Logo

  • Upload your corporation"s logo; click "Browse" to select a picture file from you local computer and click "Upload" button to upload the logo. It will be displayed at the up left corner of your public website.

My Associations

  • Tradows partners with prominent associations and organizations to promote your products. You can send your products or inquiries directly to the associations after you join the associations.
  • To join an association, just click "Find Associations" under "My Association" and click the "Join Association", the application will be automatically sent to the corresponding associations. Once the application is approved, the association will be listed under you "My Association" page.
  • Use Current Quote function to send your products to an association, so that the products and your company information can be listed on the association website.
  • Use Current Inquiry function to send your required products to an association, so that the required products and your company information can be listed on the association website.

My Applications

  • It is used to check the status of your application. You can view the messages from the association and send message to them by click "View" button besides your application.

Product Management

  • It is used to manage your Product Offering (the selling products of your company) and Required Products (the products that your company is looking for). In product summary, click the product name to view the product detail information in Edit Product Information page.

  • Show on website: check the box if you like the product to be shown on your public website.
  • Introduction: it will be displayed in the product summery when a customer/supplier view a product. The keywords in the introduction will also be used during the product search.
  • Description: You can input text, insert picture(s) or link files (such as user"s manual, etc.) in the description area. For details check Hot to Use Tradows Web Editor page.
  • Quantity UM: Quantity Unit Measure, e.g. piece, dozen, box, kg, etc.
  • Click "Save" button to create/modify the product.
  • Click "Edit Image" link on the top of the page to link the main picture of the product after you have saved the product. The picture will be shown in the product summary view.

Category Management

  • You can create multiple categories to classify your products. Each category can have sub-categories also.
  • Display on Website: Check the box if you like the category to be shown on your public website.

Product Offering

  • List all the offering products under your root category. The categories are created by Category Management function. You can click a category to list the offering products and sub categories under that category. The  icon besides a category means the category is not shown on your public website.
  • To add product(s), use Input Offered Product function bellow or Received Quotes function and Received Products function where you can directly copy the product information from your suppliers by just one click.
  • To change product(s) category, select the product(s) and click "Copy to Category" button.
  • To delete product(s) from the current category, select the product(s) and click "Delete from Category" button.

Input Offered Product

Required Products

  • List all the required products that your company is looking for. The categories are created by Category Management function. You can click a category to list the required products and sub categories under that category. The  icon besides a category means the category is not shown on your public website.
  • To add required product(s), use Input Required Product function bellow or Received Inquiries function where you can directly copy the required product information from your customers by just one click.
  • To change product(s) category, select the product(s) and click "Copy to Category" button.
  • To delete product(s) from the current category, select the product(s) and click "Delete from Category" button.

Received Products

  • Listed all the products received from your suppliers. The default time frame is the last month, you can input keyword(s) and change time frame to narrow the listing. Click the product name to view the detail of a product.
    Received Product funtion is a great place for you to compare the products from different suppliers. The products can come from your known suppliers and the suppliers that find you through Tradows company search.
  • To Add Products to your Product Offerings, check the box on the left side of the product, click "..." button to select a category and click "Add to My Offered Products" button.

Sales and Promotion

Customer Management

  • List the customers of your company. You can search company based on company name or click  button to list customers within a customer group;  button to cancel the selection.
  • Customer Groups tag on the top of the page is to manage the Customer Groups.
    "Create New Customer Group" button is to create a customer group.
    Click the group name to list the companies under the group. Check the box left to the company and click "Delete from Group" to delete the company from the current group.
  • To Add New Customers, Tradows suggests use "Add Customer (Search)" function to add companies in Tradows database to you customers. You are not only save the time of inputting their company information, but also link your company with your customer. You can send quote and promotion directly to their database. It"s easier to classify and search the information for both you and your customer. Tradows has nearly a million wholesalers and importers in the database. It"s likely that you can find your customer in the database. "Input New Customer"is to input your customer information when you cannot find the customer in the Tradows database.
  • To Delete Company from your customer list, select the check box on the left of the company and click "Delete" button.
  • To Add Company to a Customer Group, check the box on the left of the company and click "Add to Group" button, then click the "Add Customers to this Group" button on the right of the targeted group in the popup windows to finish the operation.
  • "Invite to Tradows" button is shown if the company is not a Tradows member yet. Tradows will send an email to the company with your company as the referrer. Once the company signup Tradows service with your referral code, all the quotations to the refered customer are free.
  • "Quote History" list the your quotations sent to the customer;
  • "Inquiry History" list the inquiries sent from the customer;
  • "Note" is to add the comments and other information about the customer, it is only viewable within your company.

    A customer will be automatically added to your customer list when they send an inquiry to you. You can click the company name to view the detail information about the company.

Current Quote

  • Current Quote is used to generate the quotation and promotion to your customer(s) and find new customer(s).
  • "Add Customer": Add the customer(s) that the quote is sent to. Click the "Add to Quote" button right of the company in the popup window to add the company to the Quote. You can search customers based on company name and customer group in popup window to narrow the list.
  • "Add Association": Add the association that the quote is sent to.
  • To Delete Company from the Send To, check the box on the left of the company and click "Delete" button.
  • You can check the box of "Ask Tradows to find customers" to ask Tradows to find the potential customer(s). Tradows local team in your specific location will find the customer(s) according to your current quote. This will setup the link between you and the potential customers. You can view the customer information in your Sent Quote function.
  • To Add Products into the quote, click "Add Product" button, then click "Add to Quote" button on the right of the selected product in the popup window to add a product from your Product Offering. The price information is automatically filled based on your product information. You can modify it in the quote.
  • To Delete Product from the quote, check the box on the left of the product and click "Delete Products" button.
  • Subject: Input the subject which will be shown in the quote summary list when the customer views the received quotes.
  • Associated Inquiry: Linking your quote with a customer inquiry makes your customer easier to find your quotation when they search the response of the inquiry.
  • Project Code: Project is used to link all the activities (such as, the inquiry from the customer, quote to them, your inquiries to the suppliers, the quotations from your suppliers, etc.) together. Tradows will put your last project code as the default.
  • Be aware that the inputted fields will be lost if you leave the current page. Click "Send Quote" to send the quote or "Save Quote" to save the Current Quote.

Sent Quotes

  • View the history of the sent quotes. In each sent quote summary, click the project code to view all the activities of the project, click compnay name to view the detail information of the company and click "View" button to view the quote detail.
  • You can search the sent quote base on the time frame and the sent to customer. Click button to select the customer from customer list in the popup window.

Received Inquiries

  • View the history of the received inquiries sent from your customers. You can search the received inquiries base on the time frame and the sent customer. Click button to select the customer from customer list in the popup window.
  • In each received inquiry summary, click the project code to view all the activities of the project, click compnay name to view the detail information of the company and click "View" button to view the inquiry detail (View Inquiry window).
  • In the View Inquiry window, check the box on the left of the inquired product, click "..." button to select a category and click "Add to My Required Product" button to add the selected inquired product(s) to your Required Product, so that you can forward the same required product(s) to your suppliers.

Received Orders

  • List the purchase orders sent from you customer.

Purchase and Inquiry

Supplier Management

  • List the suppliers of your company. You can search company based on company name or click  button to list suppliers within a supplier group;  button to cancel the selection.
  • Supplier Groups tag on the top of the page is to manage the Supplier Groups (Supplier Groups page).
    In Supplier Groups page, click "Create New Supplier Group" button to create a supplier group; in each group line, click the group name to Manage Supplier Group page.
    In Manage Supplier Group page, check the box left to the company and click "Delete from Group" to delete the company from the current group.
  • To Add New Suppliers, Tradows suggests use "Add Supplier (Search)" function to add companies in Tradows database to you suppliers. You are not only save the time of inputting their company information, but also link your company with your supplier. You can send inquiries and purchase orders directly through Tradows platform. It"s easier to classify and search the information for both you and your suppliers. Tradows has nearly a million wholesalers and importers in the database.   • To Delete Company from the Send To area, check the box on the left of the company and click "Delete" button.
  • You can check the box of "Ask Tradows to find suppliers" to ask Tradows to find the supplier(s) according to your current inquiry. Tradows local team in your specific location will find the supplier(s) according to your current inquiry. This will setup the link between you and the potential suppliers. You can view the supplier information in your Sent Inquiries function.
  • To Add Products into the inquiry, click "Add Product" button, then click "Add to Inquiry" button on the right of the selected product in the popup window to add a product from your Required Product. The purchase price is automatically filled based on your product information. You can modify it in the inquiry.
  • To Delete Product from the inquiry, check the box on the left of the product and click "Delete Products" button.
  • Project Code: Project is used to link all the activities (such as, the inquiry from the customer, quote to them, your inquiries to the suppliers, the quotations from your suppliers, etc.) together. Tradows will put your last project code as the default.

Current Purchase Order

  • Current Purchase Order is used to generate the PO to your supplier.
  • "Add Suppliers": Add the suppliers that the purchase order is sent to. Click the "Add to P.O." button right of the targeted supplier in the popup window to add the company to the Purchase Order. You can search suppliers based on company name and customer group in popup window to narrow the list.
  • To Add Products into the inquiry, click "Add Product"" button to select from your Required Products.
  • To Add Products into the Purchase Order, click "Add Product" button, then click "Add to P.O." button on the right of the selected product in the popup window to add a product from your Product Offering. The price information is automatically filled based on your product information. You can modify it in the Purchae Order.
  • To Delete Product from the Purchase Order, check the box on the left of the product and click "Delete Products" button.
  • Project Code: Project is used to link all the activities (such as, the inquiry from the customer, quote to them, your inquiries to the suppliers, the quotations from your suppliers, etc.) together. Tradows will put your last project code as the default.
  • Be aware that the inputted fields will be lost if you leave the current page. Click "Send PO" to send the purchase order or "Save PO" to save the Current Purchase Order.

Sent Inquiries

  • View the history of the sent Inquiries. In each sent inquiry summary, click the project code to view all the activities of the project, click compnay name to view the detail information of the company and click "View" button to view the inquiry detail.
  • You can search the sent inquiry based on the time frame and the sent to supplier. Click button to select the supplier from supplier list in the popup window.

Received Quotes

  • View the received quotes sent from your suppliers. You can search the received quotes base on the time frame and the sent supplier. Click button to select the supplier from supplier list in the popup window.
  • In each received quote summary, click the project code to view all the activities of the project, click compnay name to view the detail information of the company and click "View" button to view the quote detail (View Quote window).
  • In the View Quote window, check the box on the left of the inquired product, click "..." button to select a category and click "Add to My Required Product" button to add the selected product(s) to your Product Offering, so that you can generate quote(s) based on the same product(s) to your customers.

Sent Orders

  • List your purchase orders sent to the suppliers. You can check the status of your PO, send message to your supplier.

Project History

  • Project is used to link all the activities (such as, the inquiry from the customer, quote to them, your inquiries to the suppliers, the quotations from your suppliers, etc.) together. It is easy for you to track all the activities in a project.
  • Click the Project Code field to view the activities in the project.
  • You can click "Note" button to add notes with the project, the notes will be shared in your company.

Create Project

  • Create a project with a short description.

Sign out

  • Sign out from Tradows, so that other people cannot access your Tradows account information.
